Workout Wednesday-Beat Treadmill Boredom

The heat this summer has been awful which has made running or even walking outside unbearable.  The treadmill is usually the last resort when it comes to these types of workouts but with the heat or any inclement weather for that matter it can be a lifesaver.

The "dreadmill" extremely boring unless I am doing some sort of interval or speed work and the GYMBOSS Interval Timer is a great companion for these types of runs.  I hate seeing exactly how much time has passed and knowing how much time I have to go while I am running on the treadmill it just makes the time drag on forever. When I usually do interval training on the treadmill I have to watch the time so I know when to adjust my speed but with my GYMBOSS I just listen for the "beep" and increase the speed instead of staring at the time.

This Treadmill workout ends up being about a 10K:

GYMBOSS made doing this workout super easy!!!  I just set my GYMBOSS to beep every 2 minutes and to repeat 5 times for each ladder which made moving through the ladder a breeze!!! I didn't have to focus on the time, I just concentrated on the blogs I was reading on blogshelf my workout and adjusting the speed.

If you don't have a GYMBOSS you can still do this workout by following the times on your treadmill.  If you are not quite a runner yet you can also adjust this workout for walking by starting at 3.0 or 4.0 and adjust the levels accordingly.

How do you beat treadmill boredom?
