20 Best Foods in Your Grocery Store

I came across an article on livestrong.com that shared what they thought to be the best 20 foods in the grocery store. They said these foods are proven to help fight fat, build muscle and prevent disease.

Want to know what items livestrong suggests you should be adding to your grocery list?

Almonds
Asparagus
Avocados
Berries
Bell Peppers
Black Beans
Broccoli
Brussels Sprouts
Butternut Squash
Chicken Breast
Edamame
Eggs
Flaxseed
Garlic
Onions
Spinach
Salmon
Sweet Potatoes
Tomatoes
Yogurt

I was kind of excited to see that 75% of the items listed already frequent my grocery list and are in my diet often. I plan to start adding a few more things to my list, like edamame...I've never even tried that!

  1. Edamame is actually soy (like what makes tofu) in it's natural, original state.

It's delicious steamed and dusted with salt, garlic or chili powder. :)

  3. I like almost everything on the list - except Brussel Sprouts. I'll have to add the list to my shopping list.

  5. BrandBunch- I keep ground flax seed in a spice bottle and sprinkle it on toast with peanut butter, or in my oatmeal, salads..add it in muffins or on baked chicken.

Can't wait to try edamame now that you guys are saying it's so good!
